Executive Course in Social Development
The executive education programmes in Social Standards are one-week (5-day) courses while the stand-alone short courses are designed as 2- to 3-week courses. Both are inter-disciplinary professional and proficiency capacity building programmes for developing human resources and capacity in the practice of Social Standards in both the public and private sectors. The Social Standards training programmes will provide opportunities for a bridge in knowledge for participants so that they can offer high quality services in Social Standards in both the public and private sectors. These courses will enhance the capacity of participants to understand the application of basic principles and methodology of Social Standards to solve social problems.

Philosophy
The programmes are designed to develop human capacity in Social Standards in public and private business and to produce competent and intellectually sound Social Standards professionals.
Aims and Objectives
The major aims and objectives of the executive education programmes and short training courses in Social Standards are to:
- Enhance the knowledge of Social Standards practitioners on the principles and theory of Social Standards and on field application of these in the practice of the profession;
- Scale up the skills of participants for effective service in the fields of Social Standards;

Duration
Executive education programmes in Social Standards should last for one week or five work days. Other short courses should last for a minimum of two weeks and should involve course work and field work as well as a capstone project submitted for evaluation prior to completion.
